HELMUT LANG TWO POCKET JACKET IN CLASSIC DENIM 2002

As featured in @thehommeplusmag No.17 on @nevillewakefield shot by @craigmcdeanstudio / This is the classic denim two pocket jacket by Helmut, it’s his take on the classic Levi’s Type 3 trucker, stripped down, strong shoulders, higher armholes and cut in amazing 100% cotton Italian denim. The denim HL used for the denim line was an amazing 12oz denim that had a very tight weave and beautiful tonality to its indigo, it brakes in beautifully with wear. I love the clean lines of the jacket and it’s slim straight yet boxy fit, it hits just at the waist. I wish I had one of the older 90’s ones still, I loved how the pockets were squared it just gave the piece such an angular look to me. I’m thankful to have this jacket in this rinsed state with not too much wear still, it’s a timeless piece that perfectly captures how an American classic influenced HL and how he made it his own.
